THE BUGLES & DRUMS OF THE STEDFAST ASSOCIATION
Background: In 2000 as part of a ‘Millennium' celebration event organised by L.S.A; a group of about 50 ‘old boys' from London put together a bugle band to play on a one off basis. One event became two and then periodic practice sessions became a feature. Band adopts the name of London Stedfast Association Bugle Band. In 2003, members of Brighton Stedfast Band join us for an event; this eventually led to an informal combining of resources. November 2006 sees the band make its debut appearance in the annually televised Lord Mayor's Show in London. On 31st May 2008, the band made a major contribution to the success of the BB 125 Celebration Event organised by L.S.A. at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham. Many of the band are currently or have been bandmasters or instructors to various band within both The Boys' Brigade and Girls' Brigade, plus other independent bands.
